1. Passion - Photography is not just a job for me. I didn't become a photographer out of necessity. I’m a photographer because I love the challenge of composing and creating beautiful moments in time that my clients can hold on to and cherish for a lifetime. I get to meet with fantastic people and capture one of the most important days in their lives. This is a great honor and responsibility that I do not take lightly, which brings me to reason #2.
2. Skill - There is a famous quote by Henri Cartier-Bresson that says "Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst." This speaks to experience. I have taken college classes , seminars and stay up to date with the most current tech, none of this compares to the real life experience I have obtained over the last 10 years. I am now seasoned and 100% confident that I deliver everything discussed at our pre booking meeting.
3. Customer Service, such a cliché right? I know , I felt a little silly writing that one, but customer service is always talked hand in hand with business, because lets be honest, we care about how we are treated, especially if we are handing over our hard earned dollars.
When I first started my business, I quickly realized that this isn't all golden hour sunlight and rainbows, this was real business talk! Some of the early seminars I attended focused very little on the act of taking pictures, and more on every way you could profit from your client. I feel offering realistic packages at fair prices is a good start, but most importantly , I always believed a client should only pay for the services they need. I'm not going to charge you one price then tell you if you want to print your images that you have to pay me for the rights as well. I'm not going to offer you an album then tell you afterwards that it's only 5 pages and try and upsell you on more pages. My pricing is straightforward and best of all I offer free custom pricing for any of my clients.
4. Approach - I approach each assignment much like a magazine shoot, which requires planning, researching, and scouting the venue. This process is applied from start to finish ensuring a high level of professionalism to your images. I also make sure that my clients are fully aware that from the second they sign an agreement to have me shoot their event, I am available for any questions, concerns or creative ideas they would like to discuss or see implemented. Text, Email, Call, doesn't matter.
5. Simple Pricing - I create all-inclusive packages so there are no surprises later. I offer packages that include full rights to all of your edited images as well as your proofs . I also can customize a package that best fits what your looking for. No need to pay extra for an album or engagement session when you don't need or want one, or maybe you only need my services for 6 hours instead of 10? long story short I will ensure that you get best pricing possible.
