SIZE MATTERS....When It Comes To Canvas Prints!

To those who have not experienced a good quality photograph on a good quality canvas, you do not know what you are missing.  Nothing can beautify your home more and bring back those amazing feelings you had on your wedding day.  Of course they do not have to be of your wedding,  I have also had clients order family portraits that grace the walls of their homes. See below for some tips when deciding on a canvas.

A great picture to show you how a canvas of these sizes would look on your wall.
#1 - When it comes to Size, the bigger, the better.  Just look at the picture above and you will notice, having a small canvas on a huge wall space is not very pleasing to the eye.  I would suggest at minimum 20x24, anything bigger would look amazing.

#2 - Get creative. Put together one larger size canvas with some smaller canvases to make a wall collage.  I have designed a couple of these for some past clients, and not only to they look dynamic and amazing, but they really helped tell a story of their day.  Think of it as an album for your wall.

#3 - Make sure the canvas is from a reputable source.  There are some companies out there that offer canvases that have very thin canvas and very cheap thin wood frames, these may look alright at first, but over time (unless the canvas is hanging in a vacuum) the wood will warp and the canvas will look down right awful.  This is why I make sure to use a company that offers not only reasonable prices through my photography business contract, but good quality products.

#4 - Use only good quality photo's - If you go with a larger canvas, you must make sure the photograph is a pretty good quality one.  You don't want to put a picture from your cellphone on a canvas, it may look good on your phone or maybe even on a 4x6, but most cell phone or non professional photos when blown up will look "noisy" and full of ugly artifacts that could be very noticeable.

I hope this article helps.  If you are looking for a nice decorative canvas that can brighten up your room and be the conversation piece for any visitor to enter, contact me and I would love to set up a date to meet with you for a shoot.  If you are a past client of mine, also feel free to reach out to me, I have all the photos from all of my past shoots and would have no problem pulling one up and creating a canvas for you, and trust me the prices are very reasonable and worth every penny!
